Panel Discussion & Workshop - International Nurses Week

Cytecare organized a panel discussion and workshop for nurses with guest speaker Dr Seema Shaji, Dean – Koshys Institute of Health & Sciences, who spoke on this year’s theme for #InternationalNursingDay2023 – ‘Our Nurses, Our Future’.

She stated how Florence Nightingale, the reformer, statistician and founder of modern nursing, came to prominence while serving as a manager and trainer of nurses during the Crimean War, in which she organised care for wounded soldiers at Constantinople. IND is celebrated worldwide every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

The event later witnessed an insightful & interactive panel discussion on a wide range of topics related to the Nursing profession, their commitment & the recent global crisis – shortage of nurses worldwide.
